ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) President Obama reinforced America's commitment to Israel in an address to observe Jewish American Heritage Month. He delivered remarks at Congregation Adas Israel, one of the largest Jewish congregations in Washington, D.C.. "Our commitment to Israel's security and my commitment to Israel's security is and always will be unshakable," Obama said. The president also spoke about the Iran nuclear deal. "This will have my name on it, so nobody has a bigger personal stake in making sure that it delivers on its promise. I want a good deal." He also spoke candidly about peace in the region. "I feel a responsibility to speak out honestly about what I think will lead to long term security and to the preservation of a true democracy in the Jewish homeland. And I believe that's two states for two people. Israel and Palestine living side by side in peace and security."
