ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION). Saudi-led airstrikes pummelled an air base in the Yemeni capital Sanaa in the early hours of Saturday morning, leading to fires and secondary explosions that lit up the night sky. The airstrikes by the Saudi-led military coalition are targeting powerful Shi'ite rebels who control a large part of the country. Yemeni media said 25 people were killed and 134 were wounded on Friday in airstrikes across the country. A Saudi-led coalition began air strikes in Yemen on March 26 in a campaign to restore Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to power. He fled in March, after Iranian-backed Houthi rebels seized Sanaa in September and then thrust into central and south Yemen.
