ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Vice President Joe Biden, his family and many other mourners paid their respects on Thursday (June 4) to his son, Beau Biden, the former Delaware attorney general who died on Saturday at age 46 after battling brain cancer. A visibly moved Biden family shook hands with a long line of mourners who filed past Biden's flag-draped casket inside Legislative Hall in Dover, Delaware. Beau Biden was remembered as a man who helped his community but who most of all had deep love for his family. He had a mild stroke in 2010 and was diagnosed with brain cancer in August 2013. After surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, he was given a clean bill of health but the cancer returned in the spring of 2015. Biden, who served a year-long tour in Iraq as a member of the Delaware Army National Guard, had announced last year he planned to run for governor of Delaware in 2016. As a boy, Beau and his brother survived a 1972 car accident that killed their mother and sister shortly after Joe Biden had been elected to the Senate. President Barack Obama will deliver the eulogy at a funeral Mass for Biden on Saturday in Wilmington, Delaware, the White House said on Tuesday.
