ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Pope Francis on Sunday (June 7) held a private audience with Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner at the Vatican. The meeting between the Argentine pope and president was a lengthy one and lasted around an hour and forty minutes. Following closed-door talks, Kirchner introduced her delegation to the pope and the two exchanged gifts. On her brief visit to Rome, Kirchner is due to attend the 39th Conference of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on Monday (June 8) and lunch with Italian president Sergio Mattarella. The pope was also due to hold talks with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro earlier on Sunday but Maduro was forced to cancel the visit after falling ill with flu.
