Rough cut (no reporter narration) Story: Likely Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush said on Friday (June 12) that the United States aimed to work with Europe to "create a deterrent effect" to ensure regional security in the wake of the Ukraine crisis. Bush was continuing his European tour, meeting with NATO cybersecurity experts in Tallinn, Estonia. "Many of the people we talked to today, their first concern was how do we respond to Ukraine? That sends a signal this is not just a regional issue, it's a global issue," said Bush. He said that the U.S. and Europe can collectively create a deterrent effect to increase stability in Ukraine and the Baltics. Bush also said that the US needs to accelerate the permiting of Liquid Natural Gas projects, "so that countries that are totally dependent on sources of energy from Russia have an alternative source of supply that would help them with their security." The day after saying the U.S. needs to increase its military presence in Europe to enhance regional security, Bush also injected presidential politics into his remarks. "Mrs. Clinton was the Secretary of State for four years under President Obama and she has a record, and it's a record that she'll have to defend." Bush is expected to formally launch his campaign next week for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.
