It's decision time for Greece and its creditors. The Greek parliament is set to vote on tough new reforms which could see the country secure a third bailout package. Former Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt. (SOUNDBITE) (French) FORMER BELGIAN PRIME MINISTER, GUY VERHOFSTADT, SAYING: "They are now closer to remain in the euro zone. The package presented by Tsipras is much more elaborate, and more detailed on a number of issues than the previous proposals he's made." With much at stake, Greek politicians seemed optimistic that the reforms will be passed by parliament. Even though the electorate voted against more austerity in last weekend's referendum. Deputy Finance Minister Dimitris Mardas. (SOUNDBITE) (Greek) DEPUTY FINANCE MINISTER DIMITRIS MARDAS SAYING: "You can see that we are now holding discussions inside and I believe that it will pass (the proposal) through parliament and that we will have a deal." Others weren't so sure. New Democracy lawmaker Nikos Dendias. (SOUNDBITE) (Greek) NEW DEMOCRACY LAWMAKER, NIKOS DENDIAS SAYING: "What's important now is to have national unity and to support the effort of staying inside the euro zone. Everything else, there will be time to discuss it as of Monday. I don't know if I can see a deal but I do know that I am hoping for a deal." The proposals will be a bitter pill for many to swallow - including Syriza's radical left which has repeatedly fought against new austerity measures. Tsipras needs the support to convince creditors he has the backing of his party and the parliament. But even if he faces rebellion from within his own ranks, he is likely to get backing from opposition lawmakers to carry the vote.
