Closed circuit footage shows the moment drug kingpin El Chapo broke out of prison in Mexico. Julie Noce reports.

Closed circuit television footage from a maximum security prison in Mexico shows the moment fugitive drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman made his escape. The video shows Guzman crouching behind the partition wall in his cell, then he disappears. Prison officials say the partition walls were designed to give prisoners privacy while washing. Guzman, Mexico's most notorious drug lord, escaped on Saturday night through a 20 inch, mile long tunnel. Officials say the tunnel would have required noisy digging equipment and are investigating whether prison employees helped in the escape. National Security commissioner Monte Alejandro Rubido. (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) MEXICAN NATIONAL SECURITY COMMISSIONER MONTE ALEJANDRO RUBIDO, SAYING: "Prison staff who were on shift during these acts have been presented to authorities to define responsibility in the case." The prison break has raised pressure on President Enrique Pena Nieto to curb corruption. Last year when Guzman was re-arrested after a previous jail break Pena Nieto said another escape by the drug kingpin would be "unforgivable."
