If the possibility of a Grexit leaves a bad taste in your mouth, restaurateur Georgios Chrissidis has a solution. At his "Restaurant Z" in Berlin, customers can order savory and sweet Grexit inspired dishes, from a special menu that he calls, the "Hellenic-European Drama." And of course, dishes are named after the key portagonists. First up is a lamb main, the "Schaeuble Grexit plate," named after German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble. There's a spicier lamb steak too, the "Varoufakis Plate," named after former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis. SOUNDBITE: Georgios Chrissidis, Restaurant Z owner, saying (German): "The Varoufakis plate consists of a young bull steak. And I thought that is the best thing for Mr. Varoufakis taking into consideration how he behaves. It also has feta cheese and a little bit of chili on the meat so that the meat has a bit of a kick to it, just like Mr Varoufakis." Chrissidis moved to Germany from Greece in 1984 and says hearing about the uncertainties of Greece's future, he became inspired. There is a starter dish called the "Tsipras Darling," named after the Greek Prime Minister. It consists of a cheese called Manouri - that is neither soft or hard -- a nod to Tsipras' indecisive behavior during debt negotiations. And if you've still got a bit of room for dessert, try "Sweet Angie." A tart with walnuts and vanilla ice cream dedicated to the German Chancellor. SOUNDBITE: Georgios Chrissidis, Restaurant Z owner, saying (German): "What I thought is that Mrs. Merkel is the Iron Lady but she was able to very sweetly bring an end to the Greek crisis, the Greek tragedy. And as a reward I thought about a nice desert which is also very popular. And the guests like it." So far, customers say they're impressed with the new menu. SOUNDBITE: Customer Christian Heep, saying (German): "The idea is great, just super. I would of course liked to have had a plate in between Schaeuble Exit and Varoufakis but that's no longer possible." The Greek tragedy looks like it will play out for some time yet ... so at Restaurant Z, you can look at the brighter side and enjoy some truly inspired Greek cuisine.
