Even when Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is kicked out of the spotlight, he manages to grab it back. One day after TV journalist Megyn Kelly pressed Trump during a televised debate about disparaging comments he had made about women, .... the Donald accused Kelly of having "blood coming out of her wherever." The comment got him booted from a weekend gathering of Republican presidential hopefuls in Atlanta. Event organizer Erick Erickson said he did not want his daughter exposed to comments like that. (SOUNDBITE) (English) ERICK ERICKSON, REDSTATE.COM, SAYING: "Do you really think he can make it to the White House with the media running, every five minutes, that he's calling a female reporter, on Fox, by the way, saying that she was having her period, that's why she was asking her questions. I mean, it's disrespectful to Megan Kelly. It's disrespectful to female journalists. It's disrespectful to women. I don't want my daughter in the room with Donald Trump tomorrow night, so I uninvited him. I'm sorry." Instead of backing down, Trump doubled-down, saying on Twitter that "wherever" referred to Kelly's nose, And calling his critics "politically correct fools." All the polls show Trump is leading his rivals by a wide margin. It's not clear yet whether this new controversy will cost him any of that support.
