Russia says it's planes hit four Islamic State targets in Syria overnight in the latest round of air strikes. But the areas where it says the strikes took place are not held by Islamic State. In the cities of idlib and Homs, controlled largely by rebel groups fighting the Assad government, residents say the attacks came without warning, the images of destruction captured on amateur video. Russian warplanes have also bombed a camp run by rebels trained by the CIA, according to the group's commander. Moscow's choice of targets has increased tension between Russia and the U.S., who are waging parallel campaigns of airstrikes in Syria. Both are are targeting Islamic State but Washington believes Russian jets are also aiming at the rebel groups fighting President Assad, Moscow's long-time ally ....further complicating US efforts to oust Assad, amid Syria's increasingly bloody civil war.
