These University of Missouri students are demanding that school president Tim Wolfe resign. They're protesting racism on campus and are standing in solidarity with black players on their football team... ...who have decided to boycott practices, meetings and games until Wolfe steps down. The team says Wolfe's response to recent incidents of racial harassment on campus has been inadequate... and that makes him part of the problem. SOUNDBITE: TIGHT END, MIZZOU FOOTBALL, JASON REESE, SAYING: "We all made this decision as a team to, you know, not talk to media so you're not going to hear much from the players..." In a statement released on Sunday afternoon, Wolfe indicates no intention to resign but says solutions to the students' concerns are being discussed. Some say change can not come fast enough. SOUNDBITE: STUDENT AYANNA POOLE, SAYING: "I don't feel safe walking alone during the daylight, honestly." Racial tensions in Missouri flared last year when a white policeman in Ferguson killed an unarmed black teen. And students here say, President Wolfe has not done enough to fix the problem. SOUNDBITE: MIZZOU STUDENT BODY PRESIDENT, PAYTON HEAD, SAYING: "What we're seeing from him are carefully crafted PR statements that are coming from his team. Nothing is heartfelt." One student has taken the issue further - he's on a hunger strike... and many others say they'll continue to demonstrate until President Wolfe is out.
