At the G20 summit President Vladimir Putin says that Russia is ready to support Syria's opposition with air strikes in their fight against Islamic State. (SOUNDBITE) (Russian) RUSSIAN PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN, SAYING: "If this part of the armed opposition finds it possible to start actively fighting terrorist groups, first of all IS -- they have our air support - and we are prepared to provide it." World leaders promised to tighten border controls, step up intelligence sharing and crack down on terrorist financing at a summit in Turkey on Monday, in the wake of a series of coordinated attacks in Paris that killed at least 129 people. The two-day summit brought together leaders including U.S. President Barack Obama and Russia's Putin just 310 miles from Syria -- whose 4-1/2-year conflict has transformed Islamic State into a global security threat and spawned Europe's largest migration crisis since World War Two. Like other Western powers, Paris has distanced itself from Russian President Vladimir Putin and joined sanctions against Moscow over its annexation of Crimea last year and its role in destabilizing eastern Ukraine.
