Germany enters the fight against Islamic State. Hours after Germany's lower house of parliament approves government plans to join the military campaign against IS in Syria-- the air force shows the jets that will be used in the mission. Earlier some 445 German lawmakers voted in support of the mission with 146 voting against it. Germany will provide support to France but will not conduct airstrikes in Syria. German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier says the fight will ultimately not be won on the battlefield. (SOUNDBITE) (German) GERMAN FOREIGN MINISTER, FRANK-WALTER STEINMEIER, SAYING: "I venture to say that if we make progress on a political solution, when we really take steps forward, then the military conflict will be of a manageable length."
