(nats: that's when I heard the windows crashing, the garage door being torn) Freddy Escanilla lives near a home that was raided by FBI agents early Saturday morning in Riverside, California. Local media say the house belongs to a man whom authorities believe bought weapons used in the San Bernardino attack last week. Neighbours said the homeowner was often seen with Syed Rizwan Farook, who along with his wife, killed 14 people when they opened fire on a holiday party for civil servants in San Bernardino. Escanilla describes what happened during the raid. (SOUNDBITE) (English) RAID WITNESS FREDDY ESCANILLA SAYING: "What I saw at three in the morning was, like I said, there were three unmarked trucks, and one bigger unmarked black truck. with police SUV's circling the entire street." An FBI spokesperson confirmed agents made a "precautionary tactical entry" while serving a federal search warrant, but declined to give details. Officials said the shooters seem to have been inspired by foreign militant groups, but that there was no sign they worked with any of them or that Islamic State even knew who they were. U.S. President Barack Obama is scheduled to address the nation on Sunday evening to update the public.
