Polls opened at 7 Saturday morning in South Carolina. And Democratic voters showed up early to have their say in the state's primary. SOUNDBITE: TYRONE MITCHELL, COLUMBIA RESIDENT, SAYING: "I am a yellow dog Democrat. It doesn't matter who we had running, I was going to vote Democrat anyway, and I am voting for Hillary because I think she will continue the President Obama's legacy and the things that he stood for. Bernie, I like Bernie Sanders, but I just don't know Bernie and that's the only thing." Clinton is hoping to seize a big win in South Carolina where polls show her with a solid lead, thanks to strong support among the state's African-American voters. SOUNDBITE: TIM SPEAKS, COLUMBIA RESIDENT, SAYING: "Well I believe she supports a lot of views that I subscribe to and I think she'd be a very good president." Sanders is expected to be handed a crushing defeat in the Southern state, but some voters are in tune with his plan to address wealth inequality and improve access to education and healthcare. SOUNDBITE: SHARON RICHARDSON, COLUMBIA RESIDENT, SAYING: "I feel like he's going to continue some of those things Obama has already started and a lot of those things he's already gotten in the right direction. Considering the other parties that are running, I think he's going to do the best to keep that legacy in place." SOUNDBITE: SHERMAN GOODWIN, COLUMBIA RESIDENT, SAYING: "Hillary is polarizing. She hasn't shown herself to be honest, just the Clinton history." Even before polls closed, both Clinton and Sanders left South Carolina, each heading to Super Tuesday states, the next big test in the race for the White House.
