Tension but no violence outside Trump rally in Utah

Demonstrators gather again at a rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Salt Lake City, Utah, but police stop protesters from clashing with supporters. Diane Hodges reports.

(Nat of protesters shouting "dump Trump") This has become a regular sight outside rallies for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Carrying signs and waving a Mexican flag, these demonstrators marched through Salt Lake City, Utah, to the place where Trump was holding a rally. There they came face-to-face with an overflow crowd of Trump supporters. Riot police quickly moved in to separate the two groups, but emotions were high. (MORE NAT OF CHANTING) Protesters blame Trump for inciting hatred against minorities, but one Trump supporter in Salt Lake City said the opposite is true. SOUNDBITE: UNIDENTIFIED TRUMP SUPPORTER, SAYING: "You see the Republicans here are calm. It's the Liberals who are full of hatred." Mitt Romney, the Republican party's previous presidential nominee has emerged as one of the most prominent critics of Trump. On Friday, he said he would vote for Ted Cruz in Utah's upcoming caucus in an effort to prevent Trump from locking down the nomination, which would give opponents a chance to select another candidate at the party's July convention.
