ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Republican presidential candidate John Kasich criticized U.S. President Barack Obama for not returning from his landmark visit to Cuba immediately following the attacks in Brussels. At a news conference in Minneapolis Kasich said it was a "mistake", and that had he been president he would immediately have returned for consultations with allies abroad. The Ohio Governor said the attacks, in which at least 34 people were killed in bombings at Brussels airport and on a metro train, showed the need to destroy the Islamic State (which he referred to as ISIS). Kasich sought to contrast his position with the hardline stance taken by his rivals, frontrunner Donald Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz. The West, Kasich said, is not at war with Islam, but with "Radical Islam".
