ROUGH CUT - SUBTITLED (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi, says Pope Francis will visit the Greek island of Lesbos on April 16, to show support for the thousands of migrants who are stranded there. "The intention of the pope is clearly religious and moral but every concrete initiative has consequences also in practice... In this sense the political persons have their responsibility, the pope takes not away the responsibility of the politicians but says the solidarity, the proximity to the people in need, are fundamental principles and you also, as everyone, have to take into account these needs and be responsible for concrete persons." The pope has been vocal in his support of refugees and has urged Roman Catholic churches around Europe to take in migrant families. "The pope invites to solidarity, to a human way of treating the people and trying to solve their problems."
