ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is rallying voters in New York, hoping for a crucial win against challenger Hillary Clinton in the state's upcoming primary. Speaking at a rally in Binghamton, Sanders told the crowd his campaign has come a long way since he kicked off his presidential bid 11 months ago. "We were 70 points behind Hillary Clinton, turns out that the last few polls, we were winning national polls," Sanders told the crowd. Sanders, a U.S. senator from Vermont, has won seven out of the last eight state-level Democratic nominating contests, trying to chip away at Clinton's big lead in the number of delegates needed to secure the party's nomination. New York holds its primary on April 19. A total of 291 delegates are up for grabs.
