U.S. Capitol Police say they've arrested more than 400 protesters for unlawfully demonstrating at the U.S. Capitol on Monday (April 11) afternoon. The demonstrators from the group Democracy Spring said they were demanding Congress end "corruption of big money" in politics. They were also speaking out against restrictive voter identification laws and called for free and fair elections. Police arrested those who were sitting on the stairs at the East Front of the Capitol building. Police cited "unlawful demonstration activity" such as crowding and obstruction as grounds for the arrests.
