ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Vice president Joe Biden endorsed Hillary Clinton for president in a move many hope will unify the party. "Whoever the next president is, and God willing in my view it will be Secretary Clinton," Biden said in a speech at the American Constitution Society in Washington. His casual endorsement came hours after President Barack Obama officially endorsed Clinton. Obama and other senior Democrats are seeking a delicate balance between the need to unite behind Clinton in the battle against Trump while not alienating Bernie Sanders and his supporters. Biden also took aim at presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, characterizing his remarks on a Mexican-American judge as "racist" and out of line.
