Panicked residents of a camp in the coastal town of Pedernales rush from their tents as the latest in a series of earthquakes shakes the ground. The camp was built to house survivors of a trembler that killed more than 650 people in April. Sunday's quake was a magnitude 6-point-4. Officials say it caused no reported injuries. It was centered in the town of Esmeraldas, about 22 miles northwest of the capital, Quito and was felt throughout the region. The April tremor was the strongest to hit the nation in decades. In May, two successive quakes killed one person and caused minor damage. Ecuador's president appealed for calm following Sunday's quake, and called it a normal event.
