ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Story: Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump held a roundtable discussion in New York on Saturday (August 20) with his new campaign advisors, including campaign chief Stephen Bannon and campaign manager Kellyanne Conway. The stated focus of the meeting was immigration but the meeting comes just one day after Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort resigned amid a shakeup in the campaign staff. Trump aides say the staff changes usher in a greater focus on policy and a more serious tone. The former reality TV host has stuck to that mission, swapping his free-wheeling rally speeches for prepared remarks that stick to a singular theme. He has concentrated on immigration, trade deals, and law and order. In response to a reporter's question, Trump praised what he called "the amazing people with tremendous spirit" that he met when he toured flood-stricken areas of Louisiana. Trump traveled there on Friday, despite pleas by the state's governor for politicians not to stop in areas affected by deadly rains, because it would divert strained state resources away from helping victims.
