NATURAL ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. President Barack Obama, the first sitting U.S. president to visit Laos, braved the elements during an arrival ceremony in his honor in the capital Vientiane on Tuesday (September 6), where he was greeted by President Bounnhang Vorachith of Laos. The two leaders stood together and listened to their respective national anthems under a small overhead covering during heavy downpour at the Presidential Palace. Obama touched down in Laos on Tuesday morning, becoming the first sitting U.S. president to visit landlocked Laos, where the United States waged a "secret war" while fighting in Vietnam, dropping an estimated two million tonnes of bombs on the country.
