Donald Trump on the campaign trail touring the Gerald Ford Museum in Michigan. The Republican presidential nominee standing in a full-size replica of the Oval Office after unleashing what some may consider a less than presidential pre-dawn Twitter tirade. In a series of tweets, Trump deepened his attacks on former Miss Universe Alicia Machado alleging she was in a sex tape. He claimed the Clinton campaign was unaware of Machado's past and was quote "duped" by her, but offered no proof of his claim. Rival Hillary Clinton responded to his tweets calling Trump "unhinged" and asking "What kind of man stays up all night to smear a woman with lies and conspiracy theories?" During the first presidential debate, Clinton used Machado as an example of how Trump views women, saying he had called the Venezuelan-born beauty queen "Miss Piggy" and "Miss Housekeeping" because she was a Latina. Trump had criticized Machado for gaining weight after she won the Miss Universe pageant in 1996.
