ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) In his weekly address, President Obama touted wage growth during his presidency and urged Congress to put politics aside to strengthen the middle class. "Lower and middle income families saw the biggest boost in incomes - in part because 18 states and the District, as well as more than 50 communities, have given millions of Americans a raise by raising the minimum wage," Obama said. He also urged Congress to pass laws that would make childcare affordable and increase the federal minimum wage.
