U.S. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is vowing to remain in the race after calls for him to quit over his lewd remarks about women. Linda So reports.

Donald Trump is not backing down. The U.S. Republican presidential nominee is vowing to stay in the race amid calls for him to quit. The fierce backlash in response to a 2005 video in which Trump was recorded on an open mic talking in vulgar terms about trying to have sex with women. The video was taped only months after he married his third wife, Melania. On Saturday, she issued a statement saying her husband's words were quote "unacceptable and offensive," but says she's accepted his apology. Trump issued a video apology that was posted on his Facebook page. But that wasn't enough to stop the avalanche of calls from Republicans demanding he step aside. SOUNDBITE: REP. JASON CHAFFETZ, SAYING: "I'm out." The Republican nominee huddled with senior advisors at Trump Tower to conduct damage control. But this latest calamity could prove hard to overcome. Even his running mate Mike Pence issued a critical statement saying he could not condone or defend Trump's remarks.
