ROUGH CUT (no reporter narration) STORY: The French military released video on Monday (October 17), which it said showed an artillery task force being used on the ground in Iraq to support local ground troops in the fight against Islamic State. The footage, which was shot several days before the recent Iraqi government offensive to retake Mosul, showed troops loading and firing Caesar canons in an operation to protect the airbase of Qayyara west. The task force includes approximately 150 men and four canons, as part of the U.S.-led coalition.
