Southern California firefighters were aggressive about pushing back on this wildfire just above the upscale neighborhood of Porter Ranch in the San Fernando Valley. Local media say it was ignited at a natural gas storage facility and could have been dangerous if the fire got out of hand. The blaze was reported around 9 pm local time but local media say within 30 minutes, it had spread. NATS HELICOPTER NEWS CREW COMMENTARY "It started out with three acres, bumped up very quickly to 15 acres." The flames were moving down hill fast -- fanned by heavy winds close to 40 miles an hour at times. Local media say fire crews initially had a hard time getting to the blaze and that power lines were also hindering fire retardant aircraft. But as of early Wednesday morning no homes had been reported threatened. More than 100 firefighters were at scene late Tuesday trying to contain the blaze despite the strong winds.
