In Russia, art lovers in Russia are treated to a display of world class paintings and sculptures. Art to be sold at upcoming auctions at Sotheby's in London and in New York are on display in Moscow. SOUNDBITE: Jo Vickery, Sotheby's International Director of Russian Art, saying (English): "So we have about 40 works that we brought from London and New York to Moscow to show to collectors here. The one of the real gems of what we've brought here is a collection of Russian avant-garde - that's works painted in the early 20th century." Among the Russian avant-garde paintings for sale is Construction No. 95, an extremely rare early oil by Alexander Rodchenko - which is expected to break an auction record. SOUNDBITE: Reto Barmettler, Sotheby's Russia Pictures Head of Sale, saying (English): "The current auction record for a work by Rodchenko is for a small work on paper from the Alfred Taubman collection that we sold last year in New York. It sold for close to 650,000 US dollars. But is was a much smaller work, slightly earlier than this. So I think 2.5 - 3.5 million pounds is really quite conservative.. We'll see on a day of the auction how much it brings." Works by Boticelli, Velazquez and Kandinsky are also among the art that Sotheby's will put on the auction block in the coming months.
