ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Britain's Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, who has previously criticized U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, congratulated him on his victory on Wednesday (November 9) and said he looked forward to continuing the partnership between the two nations. Speaking in Malta, where he is holding talks with his Maltese counterpart George Vella, Johnson said he was looking forward to working with the Trump administration on their shared values of "security, stability and prosperity." "I want to reinforce this point which is that, the political relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom is probably the single most important geo-political pact for decades and will continue to be so. And we look forward to working with the Trump administration to take that relationship forwards together," he said. Last year, Johnson said that he feared going to New York because of "the real risk of meeting Donald Trump" after the billionaire said parts of London were now so radicalized they could no longer be policed by officers, who feared for their lives.
