Police clashing with protesters outside Poland's parliament in the early hours of Saturday (December 17). The activists, blocking the building's exits, to protest new rules restricting media reporting. Government lawmakers, heckled as they try to head home. The crisis kicked off on Friday (December 16) when opposition MPs brought Parliament to a halt, objecting to the government's plans to curb reporters' access. In response, the ruling Law and Justice party moved a key vote on next year's budget to a nearby hall, which protesters say is illegal. The stand off, renewing with daylight Saturday - the opposition pledging to dig in their heels.
