During their Hawaiian vacation, President Barack Obama and his daughters ate shaved ice in Kailua while the president wished a crowd of onlookers a Merry Christmas. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: The Obamas stopped by Island Snow on Saturday (December 24) for some frozen ice treats while on their family vacation in Hawaii. U.S. President Barack Obama and his daughters spent about 15 minutes inside, and then came out to wish a Merry Christmas to people gathered near the shop. The little store in Kailua sells the Hawaiian version of snow cones. The family is on two weeks vacation at an oceanfront home in Hawaii. The Obamas are scheduled to return to Washington in early January.
