U.S. President Donald Trump expected to impose new sanctions against Iran over the country's recent ballistic missile test. Sources telling Reuters that about eight Iranian entities will face sanctions for terrorism-related activities as early as Friday... with about 17 hit for ballistic missile-related activities. The sanctions coming days after national security adviser Michael Flynn issued a strong condemnation from the White House. (SOUNDBITE) (English) MICHAEL FLYNN, NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER, SAYING: "The Trump administration condemns such actions by Iran that undermine security, prosperity and stability throughout and beyond the Middle East." Sources saying the new sanctions would not conflict with the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, under which Tehran agreed to curb its nuclear program in return for relief from economic sanctions. Tehran may heed the new sanctions and change its behavior, or they may decide to test Trump's resolve further. An Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman calling the administration's comments repetitive, baseless and provocative.
