An explosion at the International Monetary Fund's office in central Paris. Police sources say a letter exploded while being opened. Slightly injuring one person. The Paris police department said on Twitter an operation is ongoing at the offices of the IMF and World Bank. The incident, just six weeks before a presidential election. It comes after a militant Greek group calling itself Conspiracy of Fire Cells claimed responsiblity for a parcel bomb mailed to Germany's Finance Minister on Wednesday (March 15). That parcel was mailed from a post office branch in Athens but was intercepted by the German finance ministry's mail department. The group has previously claimed responsibility for a wave of parcel bombs sent to foreign embassies in Athens in 2010. No word yet whether the two incidents are connected.
