A video posted on social media by Syria's Civil Defence group showed what is said to be people evacuating buildings in the Hamoriyah suburb of Damascus in Syria after shelling by a surface-to-air missile on Tuesday (May 16). The video showed people carrying children from damaged buildings. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said six people, including two children, were killed in attacks in Hamoriyah. It said Damascus was targeted by three missiles. A new round of talks to find an end to the civil war in the country is underway in Geneva.
