ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, U.S. President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke at a World Bank event on women on the sidelines of the G20 summit on Saturday (July 8). The leaders congratulated the World Bank on the announcement it was launching a public-private loan programme to support women entrepreneurs in developing countries, an initiative championed by U.S. President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump. Initial funding of $325 million for the project includes large donations from Germany, the United States, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the bank said. On the second and final day of the G20 summit, leaders of the world's top economies were expected to meet to forge a consensus on trade and climate change after setting their staff to work through the night to find agreements that eluded them on the first day of their summit.
