ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Victims' families, joined by city officials and sympathisers, began a day of remembrance in Nice on Friday (July 14) for the 86 people who died in last year's truck attack. The families laid tiles to form a 170-metre (558-foot) long message on the Quai des Etats-Unis, facing the Mediterranean Sea. Nice residents and visitors also participated in the ephemeral memorial, which will be filmed with a drone and unveiled in an evening concert. More than 600 family members of victims who were killed or injured were set to attend the day's remembrance events, which include a military parade and a tribute led by French President Emmanuel Macron.
