Argentine OTC bonds down average 0.7%, country risk up 53 basis points -traders

BUENOS AIRES, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Argentine over-the-counter bonds were down an average 0.7% on Tuesday as country risk rose 53 basis points to 1,872, traders said.

The drop in OTC bonds and higher country risk came after the province of Buenos Aires announced earlier on Tuesday that it asked bondholders for an extension for a more than $250 million payment due later this month.
