S&P lowers rating on Buenos Aires province's 2021 global bond to 'D'

June 10 (Reuters) - Ratings agency S&P Global Ratings said on Wednesday it lowered the rating on Buenos Aires’ global bond due 2021 to “D” from “CC”, after Argentina’s largest province failed to make $494.5 million in interest and principal payments.

S&P said it did not expect the payments to be made in the coming 10-day grace period. (Reporting by Shubham Kalia in Bengaluru; Editing by Devika Syamnath)
