Sept 20 (Reuters) - Canada’s Aurora Cannabis Inc is looking to list its shares in the U.S. in October, the Financial Post reported on Wednesday, citing one of its executives.
"We're targeting the month of October to establish a U.S. listing," Aurora's Chief Corporate Officer Cam Battley said, according to the report. (bit.ly/2xC6xI8)
Alberta-based Aurora had no immediate comment on the report when contacted by Reuters.
Interest has boomed in Canada’s marijuana producers ahead of formal legalization of recreational cannabis next month.
Aurora, Tilray Inc and Canopy Growth Corp have all seen their share rise this week following a report that Aurora was in talks with Coca-Cola Co to produce marijuana-infused beverages.
Aurora did not confirm the report saying only that it regularly holds talks with potential partners but had reached no new agreement or partnership with a beverage company. (Reporting by Debroop Roy in Bengaluru; Editing by Shounak Dasgupta)
