Bangladesh to have record growth of 7.65 pct in year to June - minister

DHAKA, April 3 (Reuters) - Bangladesh’s economy will grow a record 7.65 percent in the financial year ending in June, faster than expected, the planning minister said on Tuesday.

The government’s initial projection for the current financial year was 7.4 percent, Mustafa Kamal told a news conference.

Growth in the South Asian country was a record 7.28 percent in the 2016/17 financial year. (Reporting by Ruma Paul; Editing by Richard Borsuk)
