BBVA in talks to sell Chilean bank

MADRID, Aug 31 (Reuters) - BBVA said on Thursday it was looking at the possible sale of its retail bank in Chile after Canada’s Bank of Nova Scotia expressed its interest in acquiring up to 100 percent of the unit.

However, Spain’s second-biggest lender said it could not say if the negotiations would lead to an agreement nor the terms of such agreement if it was finally reached. (Reporting By Jesús Aguado; Editing by Greg Mahlich)
