SHANGHAI, Aug 24 (Reuters) - China’s Bank of Communications Co Ltd , the country’s fifth-largest listed bank by assets, on Thursday reported a slight rise in net profit for the first half of 2017, according to a filing with the Hong Kong stock exchange.
BoCom posted a net profit of 38.98 billion yuan ($5.85 billion) for January-June, up 3.5 percent from a year ago.
This implies second-quarter earnings of 19.65 billion yuan or 5.7 percent higher than the year-earlier period, according to Reuters calculations.
