Brazilian finance minister to speak to credit rating agencies on Thursday

BRASILIA (Reuters) - Brazilian Finance Minister Henrique Meirelles will speak with representatives of major credit rating agencies on Thursday to discuss the prospects for pension reform next year, the ministry said in a statement.

A vote on the reform that is seen as vital to shoring up government finances has been delayed to 2018, an election year, reducing the chances that the broadly unpopular proposal will be approved.
