UK minister Gove doesn't expect higher import costs for N. Ireland businesses

LONDON, June 18 (Reuters) - British cabinet minister Michael Gove on Thursday said he did not expect businesses in Northern Ireland to face higher import costs as a result of Brexit.

Asked by a parliamentary committee about expectations expressed by some businesses that moving goods between mainland Britain and Northern Ireland would incur extra costs, Gove said: “I can’t see how that would arise.” (Reporting by Guy Faulconbridge and Kate Holton, writing by William James; editing by Sarah Young)
