Canada union reaches tentative labor deal with Ford

TORONTO, Sept 17 (Reuters) - The Canadian Auto Workers union said on Monday it has reached a tentative four-year contract agreement with Ford Motor Co, averting a strike at the automaker’s Canadian plants before a midnight strike deadline.

The union is still in talks to get a deal with the two other Detroit automakers, Fiat SpA’s Chrysler Group LLC and General Motors Co.
