CANADA STOCKS-TSX falls at open on global growth worries, employment data

Feb 8 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index fell at open on Friday, as worries over a broadening global economic slowdown and data on a rise in the unemployment rate kept investors away from riskier bets.

* At 9:30 a.m. ET (1430 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX Composite index was down 56.44 points, or 0.36 percent, at 15,646.92. (Reporting by Shreyashi Sanyal in Bengaluru; Editing by James Emmanuel)
