CANADA STOCKS-TSX heads lower on global growth worries

Oct 2 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index opened lower on Wednesday as a slowdown in U.S. factory activity continued to weigh on investor sentiment, while a decline in oil prices hit energy shares.

At 9:30 a.m. ET (13:30 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was down 44.06 points, or 0.27%, at 16,403.6. (Reporting by Sruthi Shankar in Bengaluru; Editing by Arun Koyyur)
