CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on energy boost, U.S. stimulus hopes

Oct 23 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index opened higher on Friday, helped by strength in energy stocks, while hopes of progress in talks for fresh U.S. stimulus before the presidential election further lifted sentiment.
